What is the concept behind WHEREABOUTonline?
Every day, countless whereabouts are published all over the world. On agencies websites and in different newsletters. A good idea as such but for photo editors the search for suitable photographers is still very cumbersome, as they have to browse many different websites and newsletter for whereabouts.
With whereaboutonline it is now possible to see whereabouts globally on one platform. Each photographer can enter his/her whereabouts and photo editors have all relevant whereabouts on their screen.
How did you come up with the idea to start WHEREABOUTonline?
As I travel a lot being a photographer, I have been involved with whereabouts.And the search for whereabout platforms was not very fruitful.
Whereaboutonline was the logical consequence of the many inquiries and interviews with
photographers and photo editor.
What do you want to achieve with WHEREABOUTonline?
Whereaboutonline is a new standard for an entire industry and everyone will benefit. My goal is to provide an platform on which whereabouts can be accessed fast, simple and efficiently. A search for the right photographer is now a matter of minutes.
